Currently, players can explore the lands of Azeroth, Kalimdor, and Outland. Players familiar with the Warcraft series will find that we have depicted nearly every location from the Warcraft universe in World of Warcraft. Players will explore the ruins of old battles, interact with legendary heroes, and visit many of the locations that have made the Warcraft series so memorable.
How big is the world in the game?
World of Warcraft has more areas to explore than any other previous Blizzard game. In World of Warcraft, players can journey through the familiar lands of Azeroth, Khaz Modan, and Lordaeron, to name a few. The game also features several uncharted and exotic new lands. Our goal is to create a vast new world filled with adventure and excitement, while keeping the game fully populated to support a strong sense of community.
Are there "zones" in World of Warcraft?
World of Warcraft does not feature "zones" in the traditional sense, where players are subjected to frequent loading screens while traveling. Traveling on each continent is seamless, with no loading screens except when entering instances or traveling between continents.
Is there a day-night cycle and changing weather in the game?
